Background Story

Rwanda and Pakistan has been enjoying excellent bilateral relations since July 1962 and has been growing at modest pace until 2000 when Rwanda appointed its Honorary Consul to Pakistan.

In 2021 Pakistan established it’s High Commission in Kigali and Rwandan Embassy in Beijing covered Pakistan until June 2024

Established cooperation between the two countries are built in various sectors including Defense, Health, Trade and Parliaments.

In June 2024, Rwanda appointed the first High Commissioner to Pakistan, H.E HARERIMANA Fatou, who presented her Credentials to H.E   Asif Ali Zardari Honourable President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan at Aiwan-e-Sadr (Presidency-Islamabad) on 15^th July 2024.
